Some of you may visit our website and take the time to read the About section—but let’s be honest, many people don’t. So here’s the simple answer to a question we hear all the time:

What does Chorizo Providencia do?

At Chorizo Providencia, we produce and wholesale only two products—Chorizo and Longaniza—both made with traditional Salvadoran methods. We supply them exclusively to restaurants, bakeries, and other food businesses.

Why only two products?

We often receive phone inquiries asking:“Don’t you sell anything else?” or “Why only these two?”

The answer is simple: we are deeply committed to these two products. Because of that dedication, we cannot—and do not—make or sell anything else. After more than 30 years of careful crafting, we’re proud to offer Chorizo Providencia’s Chorizo and Longaniza with complete confidence.

Our Salvadoran Chorizo (Paprika-Red, Not Spicy)

This photo shows our Chorizo. It looks like a smaller sausage, doesn’t it?

Its red color comes from paprika—not chili peppers—so it’s not spicy. That deep red hue and rich flavor come from spices that have traditionally been used in El Salvador for generations.

How we recommend using it:

  • As a substitute for ground meat or bacon

  • Or simply grilled and enjoyed on its own—the best way to experience the true flavor of our Salvi Chorizo

Our Salvi Longaniza (Herb-Forward and Perfect as a Sausage)

This photo shows our Salvi Longaniza. At first glance, you might think it looks similar to an Italian sausage!

Italian sausages are known for their herbs, and our Longaniza is no different—it’s a beautifully balanced sausage made with herbs and fresh vegetables.

Rather than removing the casing and using it like ground meat, we recommend cooking and enjoying it just like other sausages. That’s when Longaniza truly shines.

More ways to enjoy Longaniza:

  • Delicious in a hearty soup (pot-au-feu style)

  • Great alongside bread, rice, or classic comfort sides
